If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

These terms apply to all users of the service, including but not limited to students, parents, guardians, teachers, schools, and administrators.

The Canada National Super Spelling Bee provides educational services including but not limited to:

• Spelling bee competitions and tournaments
• Educational courses and preparation materials
• Online learning platforms and resources
• Student progress tracking and reporting
• Communication services between participants, teachers, and administrators

To access certain features of our services, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

For participants under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent and agree to these terms on behalf of the minor.

IMPORTANT: By registering for our services, you grant us permission to:

• Photograph, record, and film participants during competitions and events
• Use participant names, images, likenesses, and performances in promotional materials
• Publish and distribute such media across various platforms including websites, social media, newspapers, and marketing materials
• Stream or broadcast competitions and events live or recorded
• Use testimonials and quotes from participants and families

This consent extends to all future events and continues unless explicitly revoked in writing. You acknowledge that no compensation will be provided for such use of media.

All content, materials, and services provided by the Canada National Super Spelling Bee, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video clips, software, and course materials, are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of our content without our prior written consent, except as permitted under fair use provisions of copyright law.

You agree not to use our services to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other participants or staff
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with the proper functioning of our services
• Engage in any form of cheating or academic dishonesty
• Share account credentials with others

All fees for courses, competitions, and services must be paid in full before access is granted. Payment constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion and are subject to our refund policy. Generally, refunds are not provided once a program has commenced or within 7 days of the event date.

We reserve the right to modify our pricing at any time. Price changes will not affect existing registrations but will apply to future enrollments.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE CANADA NATIONAL SUPER SPELLING BEE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY.

Our total liability to you for any damages arising from or related to this agreement shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Your privacy is important to us. We collect and use personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

By using our services, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these terms.

Upon termination, your right to use our services will cease immediately, but these terms will remain in effect regarding your prior use of the services.

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the province of Ontario, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website.
