Canada's Elite Spellers

Ten exceptional spellers rose to the top of the national competition, representing the finest spelling talent from across Canada. These remarkable students demonstrated extraordinary vocabulary mastery, mental resilience, and competitive excellence.
Achievement: Selected from over 128 national participants, these top 10 spellers represent less than 8% of all competitors, showcasing truly elite performance levels.
Top Speller by Grade (1-8)

Each grade level produced outstanding champions who excelled among their peers. From Grade 1 through Grade 8, these young spellers demonstrated age-appropriate excellence and inspired their fellow students with remarkable performances.
Recognition: Grade-level champions received special recognition for leading their age groups and serving as role models for academic excellence and perseverance.

Summer Camp Highlights
The three days leading up to the competition were filled with intensive learning, fun activities, and community building that helped prepare our spellers for the national championship while creating lasting memories and friendships.
Spelling Workshops & Techniques
Spellers participated in intensive spelling workshops, learning advanced techniques for word analysis, etymology, and pronunciation. Expert teachers guided students through challenging vocabulary and provided personalized coaching to improve their competitive skills. The day also included outdoor activities for team building, focused training on the official word list, and a special group viewing of the movie Akeelah and the Bee to inspire and motivate campers.
Community & Speller Development
The second day featured professional seminars on spelling bee strategies, competition rules, and expert tips from experienced judges and past champions. Spellers gained valuable insights into the world of competitive spelling and learned how to excel under pressure. The day also continued training on root words, building on the previous day's learning to help spellers study and master the official word list.
Mock Bee, Talent Show & Confidence Building
The final day of camp featured a full mock spelling bee to simulate the real competition experience, helping spellers build confidence and test their readiness. Campers also showcased their unique talents in a fun and supportive talent show, celebrating creativity and community spirit. The day wrapped up with stress management workshops and final encouragement from coaches annewd peers.
