2024 Canada National Super Spelling Bee
Following the tremendous success of our 2023 Spelling Bee competitions, CSSB has decided to bring together the National and International Spelling Bees into one incredible event: The 2024 Canada National Super Spelling Bee. This means that participants will not only have a chance to compete among the best spellers in Canada but also showcase their talent on an international stage.
Whether you are a school-based or individual speller, we welcome your registration! Schools and individuals who have a passion for words can certainly participate in this prestigious event. This is an opportunity to prove your spelling prowess and potentially become the next spelling champion!
Don’t forget, the registration deadline is February 29, 2024. and we may close the registration earlier which will depend on the number of registrants. So, be sure to act fast to secure your spot in this fantastic competition.

Here are the registration procedures for the 2024 Canada National Super Spelling Bee
Schools and Individuals Registration:
Registration is open to all elementary and middle schools and individuals (Gr. 1-8), including international students.
- Entry Fee for School: $99 (Early bird $99, original price: $199).
- Early Bird Deadline: December 22, 2023.
- Registration Deadline: February 29, 2024.
- Schools should complete the school bee and provide the top 3 spellers' info by March 31, 2024.
- The top 3 spellers from each school will qualify for the National Bee in July 2024.
2) Individual Registration:
- Entry Fee for Individuals: $69 (Early bird $69, original price: $99)
- Early Bird Deadline: December 22, 2023
- Registration Deadline: February 29, 2024
- Individual Online Preliminary Bee: Saturday, April 6, 2024

2. 200 Words (Grade 4-6)
3. 200 Words (Grade 7-8)
Qualification:
For Schools: The top 3 spellers from each school will qualify for the 2024 Canada National Super Spelling Bee in-person at the Nation's Capital, Ottawa.
For Individuals: CSSB will host an online individual preliminary spelling bee, and the top spellers will qualify for the 2024 Canada National Super Spelling Bee.
